Fatih is the district of Istanbul with the famous historic sites most tourists seek first: Aya Sophia, Topkapi, the Blue Mosque, the Cistern. It’s the peninsula on the European side that was the Byzantine city of Constantinople. The Golden Horn is on its north side, the sea of Marmara on its south. In my first visit to Istanbul, I explored perhaps the eastern half. One of my hotel stays was on the south side, a block from Kennedy Cd. and the Marmara sea. I want to share photos from my walks around this neighborhood.
