After sharing my post of Travel Essentials – a few of my favorite things – I’ve decided to add some of the purchases and replacements I’ve made along the way, from Amazon sites in Europe, along with a few things recommended by friends and fellow travelers. I welcome your suggestions of additions! Leave a comment as a “reply” at the foot of the page.

GoPro HERO11 Black – vidéo Ultra HD 5.3K60, photos 27MP, capteur d’image 1/1.9″, diffusion en direct, webcam, stabilisation

A French acquaintance was crazy about her GoPro 11. I was envious! Not traveling with such a toy this year, as I have way too much to learn about editing. 448 euros at the moment

WANDF Foldable Travel Bag with Shoe Compartment … Waterproof Nylon (Azul Marino, 60L)

In May I had to accept that I’d accumulated enough things that I needed a second checked bag, but I didn’t want a ‘permanent’ case. I found a duffel that folds up nicely when not in use. It held up to being checked on my two flights between Malaga and Istanbul – and Istanbul had been really rough on my new suitcases last year. So I’m very happy with this choice! Purchased for 24.99 euros.

Tira de alimentación universal de energía, Mutec 6 toma corrientes y 4 puertos USB – 100V a 220V / 250V y 2.500 vatios Surge Protector

Other houseguests in Amsterdam made off with my bag of cords and adapters, so I had to order a replacement surge protector / usb charger. This is a bit bulky, not heavy of course, but has the advantage of accepting universal plugs, with a European-type plug on its cord. The usb ports charge quickly. Bought for 29.99 euros

FEIKFEIZ bil hoppstarter 2500A topp 22800mAh 12V super säker hoppstarter (tillämplig på alla gas- och 8,0L dieselmotorer) (2500A / 22800mAh) 799.99 SEK

Be prepared!

Some 30000mAh power banks

A real don’t-leave-home-without-it item, if you are hitting the road for an extended time.

Coq Rouge has been suggested as a fun read, and just a lightweight paperback to carry along. You might want to look at the author’s page as well: Jan Guillou.
