Planning 2026

I’ve yet to find a house to settle into, but I suppose there is some chance for May to be taken up with moving. Dental treatments in Stockholm take me north in January and I will stay in northern Europe through March, to complete them. I’ll head south to Copenhagen to enjoy some shows, move on to Amsterdam for some wonderful museum days, visit Brussels for a series of concerts, spend some days in Aachen, visit London for theatre and go on to friends in Kent before returning to the dentist in Stockholm!

I am debating where to catch Bach’s The Passion according to St Matthew. I’ll get back to France as soon as I can in April, and stay until early June. Next, major thrill: Leipzig for Bachfest. It seems this year I’ll be binging on Bach, starting with cantatas in January.

Afterwards, I now expect to meet a great-niece in Madrid – or wherever she lands – and accompany her to Granada after a few days of tourism. We’ll meet up again when her program there ends, and travel together a short time, wherever she likes.

Late September to mid-October, I think I’ll be back in the US with some time in NYC and with family in Missouri. Hope some JBS reunion activities or just informal classmate get-togethers will be possible. It would be nice to be coming back to my own home in France after that. Fingers crossed!
